Youth Breaking
Conference
The Youth Breaking Conference is a specialized training camp held in preparation for the Youth Breaking Championships. The camp offers a dynamic mix of activities, including skill workshops, lectures, health seminars, and panel discussions with world-class breakers. Encouraged for all competitors, this conference provides invaluable opportunities to learn, grow, and engage with the top talent in the field. It was founded in 2021 in San Diego, CA, with the goal of creating a unique experience where youth breakers can learn together, strengthen connections, and build a sense of community.
YBC National League
- AAU Breaking
The YBC National League, under AAU Breaking, provides a standardized framework that unites breaking programs across the country into a unified pipeline to help develop and elevate the dance to a legitimate, competitive sport. Through local leagues, breakers compete in one of three skill divisions, ensuring they can challenge themselves at their own level and continue to progress. These divisions are designed to nurture growth and development, allowing athletes to hone their skills before advancing to regional qualifiers and ultimately, the AAU Junior Olympic Games.
AAU
(Amateur Athletic Union)
The AAU was founded in 1888 to establish standards and uniformity in amateur sports. During its early years, the AAU served as a leader in international sport representing the U.S. in the international sports federations. The AAU worked closely with the Olympic movement to prepare athletes for the Olympic Games. After the Amateur Sports Act of 1978, the AAU has focused its efforts into providing sports programs for all participants of all ages beginning at the grass roots level. The philosophy of "Sports for All, Forever," is shared by nearly 800,000 participants and over 150,000 volunteers.
